From 1935's Warwhoop are several "Chiefs" featured each week in the
school newspaper. These have been scanned and sent to the Haskell
page by Robert Coburn. There are 14 he has sent and 6 of them are
already uploaded. Click on the "Haskell Schools Photo Page" in the
left column of the Haskell TXGenWeb Pg, then click on the "Warwhoop Chiefs"
link. Watch for more to come.

A photo of 1950's era downtown Haskell was provided by Ed Williams
and is now displayed on the Haskell TXGenWeb home page. Thanks, Ed.
Also new on Haskell TXGenWeb's home page is a link to photos taken
in the far Southeast part of the county (near the Jones County line).
Dorothy & Hess Hartsfield sent these interesting pictures. Look
under
"Haskell County Photo Pages" in a column on the left. The
southeast
picture
page is tagged "NEW". Also, all photos for the Rockdale Cemetery
are now
online. Thanks to Dorothy & Hess for these gravestone pictures.

The Rochester Cemetery now has all photographs linked to the cemetery
listings. There is some burial information which came from family
members so
no picture is there. Those are indicated with a note beside
the name.

Links have been updated for the TXGenWeb Tombstone Project, the
TXGenWeb Archives and the Haskell pages for those two projects
which are all part of USGenWeb.
Also updated are the links for the USGenWeb Family Group Sheet
Project and USGenWeb Tombstone Project Home Page.
The Archives and Tombstone Project pages are still in the process of
moving so some links have not been updated to reflect the new
addresses of many Texas and other states' county pages.
See these updated links on the Haskell Genealogy Home Page

There's a link to the Haskell Chamber of Commerce webpage
on the Haskell TXGenWeb page. It's under "More Haskell County
Information". Try it and see what a nice page the Chamber has put
up.

2008 Haskell TXGenWeb's new internet address is
http://haskellco.vibobgen.com/haskell.htm
with all the same genealogy
data, cemeteries, census, look-ups and more, for Haskell County
researchers. Be sure to "bookmark" the page. Recent
changes
in Rootsweb management has meant most USGenWeb counties are
moving to other internet domains.
(Note: These
management changes
do not affect the Rootsweb MailLists - featured in the March Research Site)
Also, more gravestone photos have been added to Rochester Cemetery's
listings. Rochester Cemetery

2008 Another method of internet genealogy research
involves subscribing to
one of Rootsweb's many MailLists. It's free. And you can
"Un"subscribe
at any time. See more about this in the March Featured Research Site
box on
the Haskell County TXGenWeb home page.

9 Feb
2008 The Featured Research Site for February has
information about
acquiring vital records in Texas or from county clerks. There
are
new rules for some items and a check of the Texas Department of
Health website gives updated information. See "Featured Research
Site"
on the home page of
Haskell
County TXGenWeb Site
11 Jan
2008 New on the Haskell County TXGenWeb page is a
transcription of the
Willow Cemetery. This transcription contains over 5,000 names
but it
is not the full cemetery listing. We expect to have that data in a
few months.

"Willow Cemetery" and click)
Don't forget to check out the
Featured Research Site for January to see
information about using the Social Security Death Index and the SS-5 Form
to help with your genealogy research. See this on the Haskell Co
Home Pg.
